Leatherman is a brand synonymous with function and practicality. From humble beginnings in 1975, Tim Leatherman realised the need for a pliers-based multi-tool while using his simple pocket knife to make constant repairs to their Fiat 600 as well as leaky hotel plumbing. Over the next few years, Tim worked to produce his prototype multi-tool, the PST (Pocket Survival Tool). He then partnered with Steve Berliner in 1983, and Leatherman was born!
