When choosing your headlamp check the following information on the product:
Brightness (Lumens)
Max beam distance - There are a few different settings for your headlamp beam. Spot, spread and adjustable are the most common.
- Headlamps with 70-90 lumens provide less light then others but are ideal for situations where you don’t need to provide the main lighting source.
- Headlamps with 100-180 lumens are much brighter and perfect for camping and most other outdoors situations
Battery Life
LED headlamps use less battery power than the older fluorescent bulbs
Hot Tip
When choosing a headlamp, select one that is adjustable. This will allow you to use both a flood and a spot light setting.
