All binoculars come with a lens rating and classification, for example 8x25. This simply means that the lens power is 8 times your normal vision and the lens itself is 25mm in diameter.
Ultra Compact and mini binoculars are small in size and generally have a rating of no more then 8x21. They are great for everyday use.
Compact Binoculars are small in size and allow you to comfortably hold them while viewing. Generally have a rating of 10x25.
A Traditional Set of binoculars are larger in size. This is due to the extra-large lenses. The average rating for these binoculars is 10x50. These binoculars will provide you with a brighter image and a wider field of view compared to the 10x25 rated binoculars.
Hot Tip
Try to avoid leaving your binoculars in the sun for long periods of time or in your car, as this will eventually damage the lens.
