The 75mm, 23-gram Plow is the middle version of the Oar Gee Plow range, and can be used for either casting or trolling. Target species are Murray cod, golden perch, bass, redfin, trout and some estuary species such as flathead and estuary perch. This lure seems to be irresistible to native species, but they have also been known to catch dusky flathead in the salt.
With a positive floating buoyancy and excellent hook protection from the bib, it is a lure that you could try using in the toughest of habitats. The towing wire is welded into the body of the lure, and locked into the bib without the use of any glue. This adds strength and eliminates problems with the glue affecting the properties of the polycarbonate, which might cause brittleness and weakness.
It can dive to approximately 4.5 metres, and the preferred method of attaching to line is with a loop knot. But if you are going to use a clip, don't have a swivel attached, as it may get caught up.
