To get the best out of the Halco Max 130, allow the lure to sink before starting the retrieve. The time it takes to sink will vary, so you will need to remember how long it takes per metre. Whether you are working a school of feeding fish, prospecting around bommies, or casting into an eddy or wash,, you will need to work the lure back at speed for best results.
This 130mm, 80-gram, rapid-sinking lure, with its 3XX, 2/0 Mustad trebles and sleek lines, can also be used for jigging deep drop-offs for tuna, kingfish, GTs, amberjacks, coral trout and anything else that has scales and fins.
The Halco Max is also doubles as a tremendous trolling lure. When moving from spot to spot, don’t forget to add a Halco Max to your spread of lures. You never know what may take a liking to it. Max was named the Best New Hard Body Lure at the 2007 Australian Tackle Show.
