The 50mm Shad Deep can be used effectively with a steady retrieve, but is more deadly when a subtle pause and twitch is introduced. The lure will maintain the tight wobble and roll it is known for, and will catch a range of species, from bream to bass to flathead in the saltwater, and trout and perch in the fresh.
Not only can you cast and retrieve this brilliant lure, you can also try trolling it over vast flats and weed beds, or slowly working it over rock bars, oyster racks and down the face of deep rock walls. If you find that the lure gets hooked up, just stop the retrieve and allow it to float up over the snag, and then continue the slow rolling.
