We know that your favourite rod has well and truly had your back in some tough fish fights, but let's be honest after a while salt and dirt can start to build up. Maybe you're off on a holiday with the fam or a fishing trip with the boys and of course you need to pack your trusty rod, but hold up a sec – it's stuck and won't pull apart? Fear not, we've got your back!
So you're thinking but really how can I unstick my rod, it's on pretty tight? It's much easier than you think! All you need is a non-slip mat and Bob's your uncle!
- Grab a non-slip mat
- Lay mat over the joint of your rod (be sure to avoid the guides so they don't get damaged)
- Get a good grip on the mat over the rod and twist. BINGO! Your rod will pull apart easily!
Top Tip
We highly recommend doing this outside, we don't want that rod flying off and poking a hole in your wall!
