Steel Pegs
Steel pegs come in a range of thicknesses for different ground hardness. These types of pegs are perfect for use in firm soil/clay.
Angle Steel Pegs
Angle steel pegs are also for use in firm soil but with the bigger surface area they are able to hold bigger loads such as large tarps and shelters in stronger winds.
Sand Pegs
Sand pegs as the name suggests are designed for use in sand or soft ground as they have a large surface area to hold the pressure coming from the guy rope.
Hot Tip:
When selecting the right peg for your campsite take into account the ground it will be hammered into, the softer the ground the bigger surface area the peg needs to maintain a stronghold. No matter what pegs you use make sure that when you are hammering them into the ground you place them on a 45-degree angle to the ground, as this will give greater holding strength.
