It’s that time of year again - the holiday season is fast approaching, which means you’re running out of time to find the perfect Christmas gifts for your nearest and dearest! Don’t worry, we’ve all been there and that last minute gift card from BCF is always a safe backup - but we think you can do better! To help you come up with the perfect pressie, we’ve asked some of your favourite BCFing legends to find out just what they want for Christmas. From NRL superstars to fishing royalty, they’ve each got something special that they hope is waiting for them under the Chrissy tree.
Adam Reynolds (Reno)
BCF Poly Icebox
The Broncos skipper Adam ‘Reno’ Reynolds is considered one of the greatest halfbacks in the game and one of the highest point scorers in NRL history. While we could go on and on about his accolades on the field, it’s what he wants for Chrissy we’re here to talk about. “I love a good BBQ get together, whether it’s with my family or teammates it’s just nice to relax and enjoy a good feed. Keeping the drinks cool is a top priority, that’s why a new poly icebox would be my pick!”
Julia Robinson
Wanderer Premium Beach Chair
Julia played in the inaugural season of NRLW for the Broncos and has since gone on to successfully represent both her state and Country. When Julia isn’t dominating the football field, she’s keen on all things outdoors, with a love of the beach. When asked what she has on her Christmas list, Julia told us “I love relaxing at the beach and having somewhere to kick back after taking a swim would be great. The Wanderer Premium Beach Chair would be perfect for me!”
Michael Maguire (Madge)
Spotters Sunglasses
One of the newest members of the epic Broncos lineup may not take to the field each week, but he still plays a very important role - he’s the coach! Michael 'Madge' Maguire needs a sharp mind and an even sharper set of eyes to keep him one step ahead of the other teams. That’s where a good pair of sunnies come in handy, which is exactly what Madge is hoping to get for Christmas. “Living on the East Coast I spend a lot of time in the sun, which can take its toll on my eyesight. I need a quality pair of sunglasses that are comfortable enough to wear all day and Spotters are my pick!”
Scotty Hillier
XTM Mighty Swag
Scooter’s been the host of Creek to Coast for many years, and with his love of the outdoors and larger than life personality it’s the ideal job for him! When asked what his ultimate Christmas gift would be, he didn’t hesitate, “it’s gotta be the mighty! The XTM Mighty Swag is just what I need for both work and play. The weather doesn’t always play the game and having somewhere to recharge the batteries that keeps me out of the weather and also has enough room for a big man like me is a must-have.”
Amy Bell
Tahwalhi Kalbarri ISUP
Amy Bell is a BCFer through and through! With her hubby and little ones in tow, they’ve explored just about every part of Oz. When asked what she wanted for Chrissy, there was one clear winner, she told us, “the Tahwalhi Kalbarri ISUP looks compact, as well as being quick and easy to inflate which is perfect for life on the road. I can't wait to escape for a much-needed mum break and unwind on the water, especially with a trip to Esperance not too far away!”
Paul Worsteling
BCF Fish Hat
Mr IFISH himself Paul Worsteling has been gracing our TV screens for a very long time now. We all know this fella loves his fishing and probably has more fishing gear than a BCF store - so what do you think he wants for Chrissy? Something fishy! PW explained, “being the fashionista that I am, I just can’t go past this one. The BCF Fish Hats are so cool and the best conversation starter ever. Never hurts to look great on and off the water.”
Sammy Hitzke
Wanderer Warlukurlangu Beach Shelter
Our good Mate Sammy Hitzke is another fishing tragic, but there’s something our man Sam loves even more than fishing - his family! So, it’s no surprise that when thinking about the perfect Chrissy gift he’s keeping the littlies in mind. Sammy said “Because we like to spend lots of time at the beach during the festive season, the Wanderer Warlukurlangu 3 Pop Up Beach Shelter would be ideal. A quick and easy shelter the whole family can enjoy, the kids can play out of the sun or even have a sneaky snooze while the Mrs and I make the most of some quiet time!”
Josh Collins
XTM 270-degree awning
Joshy Collins is a fourbie fanatic who loves nothing more than sharing his Christmas presents with the 4-wheeled love of his life! When asked what he wanted for Christmas 2024 it was no surprise that it was a new accessory for his 75 Series Cruiser. Josh said “I love the XTM 270-degree awning purely because of the amount of use it gets. It doesn't matter if I'm parked up for a day at the beach or out bush for a few weeks. It gives heaps of coverage and great to fit the family under.”
Jade Berg
Wanderer Beach Cart
Another family of BCFers, the Bergs eat, sleep, and breathe the outdoors. The ironwoman veteran has practically raised her family at the beach, so when asked what goodies she’d like Santa to bring this year it’s no surprise it relates to the big blue. “We would love a Wanderer Beach Cart for Christmas so we can make our trips to the beach even better. We’d be able to load it up with everything we need for the ultimate summer beach day including food, coolers, surf boards, and snorkels, and save multiple trips to the car - and Wes’s back!”
Brooke Wood
Wanderer Nightfall Swag
Our mate Brooke from Hipcamp knows more than a few things about pitching a tent! And with over 35,000 Hipcamp locations Australia wide it’s safe to say she also knows a few good spots! Being another mad keen camper, we were curious to hear what she was hoping would be waiting under the Christmas tree. “No camping spot is complete without having somewhere to rest my weary legs after a day of adventuring, that’s why I would love a good swag. I’ve got plenty of use out of my Wanderer swag, so I would put my money on their Nightfall Swag being a top Chrissy pick.”
Steph Fernandez
Chill-Out Inflatable Lounger
Our very own eComm expert Steph loves a comfy place to write her book, the nominated author knows being comfortable is the best way to get the creative juices flowing and prevent the dreaded writer’s block! She told us, "the Chill-Out Inflatable Floating Lounger is my top pick! It’ll get plenty of use in my family and make the perfect chill out option over the school holidays. Whether we’re heading to the beach, for a picnic in the park, or just hanging around the backyard it’d be ideal.”
